Great news TEA....we’ve just launched our first ever company-wide food drive to benefit Bixby Community Outreach Center. Yeah!!!!

The 10 day drive, which kicked off last Monday, is a terrific way for us to get in the holiday spirit and help feed hungry families in the Bixby area. We feel so blessed as a company, and this year, we felt it was especially important to give back to our community.

Remember, this drive is open to any employee wishing to participate—our goal is gather over 1500 pounds of food for the needy throughout the holiday 

season. We’ll match any monetary donations toward the cause. We’ll also be giving away a new iPad 2 to the employee who can bring in the most food by weight. 

Not only are we having fun, but we’ll be making a huge difference in the lives of others. Are you with me TEA?

Time to crush that collection goal!

This fall, we’re involved in a great program in partnership with Bixby High School. The program lets Bixby high school students shadow TEA engineers to get a better understanding of day to day engineering practices and applications in the industry.

TEA volunteer professionals are meeting with students this whole year for a few hours each Wednesday to help them get a taste of what it’s like to be a design engineer. The program was created to give students experience within the technical and engineering fields, plus surround them with positive role models to help encourage pursuit of their life goals.

We’re thrilled we can be involved in such a meaningful program and make a difference in these students’ lives. The students are getting to see firsthand how the skills they learn in school can prepare them for the real world.

We believe we are really sowing the seeds of leadership here and exposing kids to incredible opportunities for their lives. We are very proud to give them an up-close look of the engineering profession they’re considering while also nurturing the passion to discover the possibilities for their future.

Tulsa Engineering Alliance is getting ready for one of the premier events for the oil industry: the Tulsa Pipeline Expo 2011, scheduled for Aug. 29th-31st at the QT Center at Expo Square.

We welcome anyone who plans on attending to swing by our TEA booth and visit us.

If your firm hasn’t been to the Expo before, you don’t want to miss it. This year’s event is expected to have twice as many exhibitors and attendees as last year, plus promises to be a terrific showcase of the state’s rich heritage in the oil industry. Organizers have increased the demo space and have added new speaking events, so there’ll be a lot of stuff going on.

On the agenda is a trade show, educational sessions, a roundtable discussion, a golf tournament, and a variety of networking functions. It’s a terrific opportunity.

We’re really looking forward to meeting new clients and demonstrating the qualities that set us apart from other engineering firms.
